We are very excited that the World Smart Grid China Focus 2010 will be held in Oct. 26-29th, Beijing, China.

From the growing addition of intermittent, often distributed, renewable energy sources to new and efficient ways that residential, commercial and industrial users are consuming electricity, the underpinning grid infrastructure is transforming on an epic scale. The relatively static, slow-changing power transmission and distribution market is finding itself at the confluence of energy, telecommunications and information technology (IT) markets, driving necessary change and innovation in support of a 21st century intelligent utility network. A “Smart Grid.”

Regulatory pressures in the U.S. and Europe have been one of the leading drivers of Smart Grid (and Renewable Energy technologies). Meanwhile in 2010 China Leads Top Ten Countries in Smart Grid Federal Stimulus Investments. The Chinese government will spend $7.3 billion dollars in 2010 in the form of stimulus loans, grants and tax credits compared to $7.1 billion by the United States government, according to analysis done by Zpryme, a market research firm in Austin, Tex.

With China’s aggressive renewable energy targets in place and strategies to overcome current electricity problems, China, like the US & EU are aggressively developing Smart Grids and is set to advance their development. State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) announced "Strong and Smart Grid Plan" in the middle of 2009, aiming to establish a strong and smart Ultra-High-Voltage power grid. About $99.6 billion investment on the Smart Grid and some $586 billion on the power grids in the next decade will offer great investment opportunities for local and international ICT companies, smart grid technology providers, utilities and clean energy investors to help manage the doubling energy consumption over the next decade.

World Smart Grids China Focus 2010 (WSGC 2010) will continue to bring together over 400 industry leaders and experts from more than 25 countries and WSGC 2010 is expected to be inaugurated by Mr. Zhenya Liu, President & CEO of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC).

On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to invite you and other senior executives to attend the World Smart Grid China Focus 2010. With your presence, we believe it will bring up the profile of your firm in the smart grid industry and probably bring more potential business to your company.
